Sign of courage and audacity dies: Sepoy Maqbool Hussain will be buried with all honor
(Web Desktop): it’s worth praising the children of the earth who sacrifice their lives. There are others who for the honor of their country never utter a single secret when they are trapped by the enemy. Sepoy Maqbool Hussain was one of them. He successfully completed the mission in Sri Nagar in the 1965 war between Pakistan and India and was injured. Desperate, it became the prison of war.
One can not imagine the pain he suffered for the good of Pakistan. He remained in Indian prison for some forty years, yes, four decades. They tore off his nails, but never uttered a single word against his homeland. The Indians wanted him to abuse his country, it was not an opportunity! He never bowed to the aspirations of the enemy. The Indians, as usual, applied all harsh and inhumane means, leaving aside the Geneva Conventions, to obtain the national secrets of Pakistan that he had buried in his chest.
A brave son of the earth considers that it is better to cut off his tongue and silence him throughout his life than to expose any secret. The entire Indian army grew tired, but a single sepoy stood firm and determined; when nothing could be obtained, the only option was to free it. In 2005, he obtained freedom.
On August 28, 2018, yesterday, he died at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Attock. Considering his sacrifices for the country, he was awarded Sitara-e-Jurat. The Army Chief of Staff expressed his resentment over his death.
