web hamari: On Saturday, an accountability court approved Dr. Asim Hussain’s request to travel abroad for medical treatment, reported ARY News.
Dr. Hussain appeared in court today (Saturday) to attend a graft referral hearing, which also involves other people.
The National Accountability Office (NAB) presented two witnesses, Saeed Rizwan and Muhammad Taj, before the court to register their statement.
However, Dr. Asim Hussain filed an appeal requesting the court to allow him to travel abroad for medical treatment. The court accepted the request and allowed the former federal minister to leave the country from November 27 to December 20.
The accused will be required to return to the country within the time specified by the court.
According to reports, Dr. Asim has suffered from a back disease and had previously been granted permission to travel abroad for medical reasons. Dr. Asim’s name is placed on the exit checklist (ECL) due to the graft charges against him.
