The Pakistan Football Team captain, Saddam Hussain, is optimistic before the SAFF Cup that will begin on September 4 in Bangladesh.
While speaking with the media before leaving for Bangladesh along with the squad of the team on Saturday, he said that the players are fully prepared and will give a good show in the championship.
Saddam said it was a great opportunity for them to train with top-notch foreign coaches, which helped them increase their resistance.
“The foreign coaches and coaches worked hard to make us competitive enough and their presence is good for us,” Saddam said.
He hastened to add that the coaching staff allowed them to do an exhaustive job to achieve the goal of fitness.
“Constant training helped us improve our reflexes and body strength, so now is the time to show our strength.”
Saddam Hussein, SSGC’s star player, named the National Football Team Captain of Pakistan for the 2018/19 season.
The 12th edition of the SAFF Cup is scheduled from September 4 to 15 with seven teams, including Pakistan, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bangladesh.
Pakistan will face Nepal in the opening match of the tournament.
