Asian Games 2018: Pakistan increases the number of medals to 3 with bronze javelin victory
Pakistan bagged its third medal at the Asian Games in 2018 and secured the bronze medal in the men’s javelin throw.
Nadeem Arshad, a native of Khanewal, reached the 80.75 mark to secure third place in the event.
The marks of his six attempts were 73.52, 76.73, 72.20, 80.75, 77.56 and 72.22, respectively.
The Indian Neeraj Chopra took the gold medal, while Qizhen Liu secured the silver.
Pakistan is located at n. 33 in the points table with three bronzes in his name.
Nargis born in Quetta defeated Nepalese Rita Karki to take the bronze medal in the women’s 69 kilogram karate event.
Pakistan secured the bronze medal in the men’s Kabaddi team after losing to South Korea in the semi-finals.
